Personality:
The easiest way to describe Lovino is to call him a puzzle.
Lovino isn’t exactly the friendliest person…at least not a first glance. At first glance, people see a rude young man who always seems to scowl. His smiles are rare and few but if you want to see it, hurt yourself in an amusing way and live to tell the tale. This Italian is quick to jump to the wrong conclusion and will often use physical violence when he is extremely annoyed. He will try not to use physical violence while he’s at work unless he goes to hit Antonio or a costumer annoys him past his breaking point. His selfish, rude personality make people stay away from him.
Another part of his personality is one he doesn’t like showing; his inferiority complex. All of his life he’s been compared to the younger Italian and he’s starting to get tired of it. If someone compares him to his little brother, Lovino will generally become upset and express himself in different ways, such as getting depressed or becoming more violent. In addition to his inferiority complex, the Italian has low self-esteem. These things, combined together, do not end well. Lovino will often feel useless and can never be satisfied with his own work.
It might take a while, but if Lovino begins to become attached to someone, he’ll begin to change before their eyes. He’ll become a bit nicer and caring while showing some of his deeper emotions that people don’t normally get to see. If he doesn’t like someone, however, he’ll let his opinions be known with curses, swears and abrupt bouts of physical violence.
History:
For the majority of his life, Lovino lived in the beautiful country of Italy. Italy, where the sun was out and about warming the area…a place where Lovino could head to the beach for a swim without worrying about whether or not he was going to have to freeze to death. The Italian enjoyed his time in his home country, making the most out of his simple life there. He was able to laze about, tend to his tomato garden and go to the market to get whatever his family needed.
But when Feliciano decided to leave Italy in order to get a job in the mountains, Lovino followed him. He couldn’t let his little brother run around on his own, right? So, following his passion, the Italian found a job at the same hotel as Feliciano doing something he loved. Well, involving something he loved at least.
Now, Lovino spends most of his time watching over the pool, trying to make sure no one gets hurt.
Roleplay Sample:
It was late and he was hungry. Those were the first thoughts that ran through Lovino’s head as he looked down at the slip of paper in his hand. Why the hell were they having the meeting here? The Italian didn’t feel like walking up any more stairs. He wanted to attend the meeting, go home, and annoy Antonio. Hopefully get a free meal or two in the process.
With a sigh, he headed for the staircase; he was always told that exercise was good for him…and the Italian wasn’t quite sure if he wanted to get into an elevator in this damn place. He was waiting for the ceiling to collapse any moment now. It probably wasn’t going to happen, but damn it. He wanted to get out of this building.
The Italian pushed open the door and began his trek up the stairs. With each step he cursed whoever sent him the damn invitation. Why the hell did he have to go? Shouldn’t only one Italy be needed for World Conferences? That stupid Prussian bastard never attended the meetings like he did. It wasn’t fair. He could be sitting at home in his tomato garden.
His stomach rumbled and Lovino shook his head, chiding himself for thinking of food right now. He had more important things to think about. Like where the damn meeting was going to be held. He pulled the piece of paper out of his pocket, scanned the letter again, and stuffed it back in his pocket with a scowl. Damn thing…leading him here like this. Lovino pushed open the door once he got to the correct room and headed down the hallway. He was just about right on time.
“Hey. Anyone seen Felici-“ The Italian cut himself off mid sentence as he pushed the door to the room open and saw no one inside. “Hey? There anyone here?” He stepped into the room, letting the door swing shut behind him. “Shit…This isn’t funny damn it. Where are y-” Something was pressed over his mouth and his nose cutting him off. Lovino flailed, trying to get away from who ever was behind him, but it didn’t work.
The last thought that passed through his head was: Shit. I’m gonna die here.
